7:45 am: We have an outage impacting 370 members near Cope St. Reports of a tree in the line. A crew is being called in. Will update when we have new information.

We brought the power to the Fish Creek Indigenous Place Name Celebration at Lyn Ary Park! We used one of our Chevy Silverado EV trucks to power the stage and sound equipment for three hours (using less than 1% of the Silverado's battery). Using EVs for public events elminates the sights and sounds of a generator. Thank you to the Anchorage Park Foundation for all the good work you do for the community!

Friday -

3:50 pm: Power restored to all members. The cause was a tree branch in the line.

1:30 pm: Crew is patrolling the lines.

12:50 pm: We have an outage impacting 238 members between Debarr Rd and E Northern Lights Blvd, including Beaver Dr, Mink Ave, Summit View St, E 16th, Sherwood, and Foothill Dr. A crew has been assigned and will be heading that way shortly. We will update as we receive new information.

8am: Repairs have been made. All members have been restored.

7:35am: A crew needs to remove a tree from a powerline in Indian. To safely do this the line will need to be deenergized beginning at 7:45am. This outage is expected to last approximately 25 minutes. We appreciate your patience while our crew completes this important work.

6:50 pm: All members restored.

6:35 pm: Crew is on site troubleshooting.

4 pm: We have an outage impacting 51 members in the O’Malley area, near 112th Ave, 113th Ave, 115th Ave and along Lipscomb St. Reports of lines down due to a tree and tree in the street. A crew is being called in. Will update when we have new information.

Thursday's power outage on the Anchorage Hillside -- caused when a pole was broken and line torn down by a road crew (nobody was injured!) -- reminds us of the importance of NEVER touching a downed powerline. Please call Chugach or 911 if you see a downed line!

Thursday -

8:15 pm: Hillside outage - All members have been restored.

If you're still experiencing an outage please call Dispatch at (907) 762-7888.

7 pm:
Hillside outage - All repairs have been made and crews are in the process of energizing any members who are still without power.

Sand Lake outage - All members restored.

6:30 pm: Sand Lake outage - The outage is partially restored. The crew continues troubleshooting.

4:35 pm: Sand Lake outage - A crew is on site troubleshooting.

4:30 pm: Hillside outage - All members should be restored in this outage. If you're still experiencing an outage please call Dispatch at (907) 762-7888.

3:15 pm: Hillside outage - Crews were able to switch around and restore a majority of members. Crews are continuing to make repairs.

2:45 pm: Girdwood outage - All members should be restored. If you're still experiencing an outage please call Dispatch at (907) 762-7888.

1:50 pm: Sand Lake outage - We have an outage in the Sand Lake area impacting about 120 members. A crew has been assigned and will head that way as soon as they are available.

12:25 pm: Girdwood outage - The Girdwood outage is partially restored. Crews will continue to patrol and troubleshoot until all are back in power.

12:10 pm: Hillside outage - ROAD CLOSURE: The damage to our equipment from this contractor contact is significant. As we work to make repairs, Hillside Drive is closed between Nebesna and Alps. It is a short span where the work is being done. If you live on either side of that closure, you should be able to get to your destination. Please avoid the area if you don't need to go that way. Repairs are expected to take several hours. We are still working to re-route the power and restore as many members as we can while the repairs are made.

11 am: Hillside outage - Crews are working to isolate broken equipment to restore as many members as possible.

9:40 am: Girdwood outage - Crew is on site troubleshooting.

9:15 am: Hillside outage - A contractor doing work in the area has contacted the powerline, triggering the outage. Crews are on site assessing damage. Will continue to update with new information.

8:45 am: Girdwood outage - We also have an outage impacting about 200 members in Girdwood. A crew is en route.

8:30 am: We have an outage impacting about 1300 members on the Hillside. A crew is en route.

Will update as we get new information.
