Whether you are racing to an emergency call, answering the phone in a crisis, managing those in custody, or working tirelessly behind the scenes, your efforts are vital to keeping Anderson County safe and secure.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a hiring event on November 12, 2026 at Anderson SC Works located at 1428 Pearman Dairy Road Anderson, SC 29625 from 9am - 12pm. We are looking to find 30 new members for our family to fill the following roles:

Detention Control & Property Specialist (Civilian/Non-Certified)
-Starting Pay: $37,385 - $42,409

Communications Operator
-Starting Pay: $41,158 - $46,688

Detention Deputy
-Starting Pay: $46,615 - $52,879

Qualifications and Benefits:
-No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
-Must be a U. S. citizen.
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
-Must successfully pass all required background investigations and security clearances.
-Must have a satisfactory credit history.
