Annapolis, we need your help to combat auto theft and thefts from vehicles! While our officers are out there, you are our first line of defense.

Here’s how you can make your vehicle less of a target:

Secure everything: Always lock your doors and close all windows.

Clear the clutter: Don’t leave anything valuable (or even seemingly insignificant items) visible inside your car.

Light it up: Park in brightly lit areas whenever possible.

Keys in hand: Never leave your keys in the ignition or your car running while unattended.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our streets and our property safe!

🚨ATTENTION ANNAPOLIS PRIUS OWNERS 🚨

Catalytic converter thefts are on the rise in our area, and Toyota Prius models are a frequent target. Protect your vehicle!

Why is this happening?

Thieves are after the valuable metals inside, like platinum. The Prius’s light weight makes it easier to quickly jack up and access the converter.

Protect yourself by:

🏡 Parking in your home garage.

đź’ˇ Using motion-sensing lights in your driveway.

🌟 Always parking in well-lit areas.

We are working hard to stop these thefts, but please help us by taking these preventive measures.

Spread the word to your neighbors who own a Prius!

Annapolis the sun is out and so are the motorcycles! 🏍️ As more riders hit the road, we want to remind both drivers and motorcyclists about the importance of motorcycle safety.

Here are 6 key tips for staying safe on the road:

1. Always Wear a Helmet: It’s the most crucial piece of safety equipment you can have.

2. Watch Your Speed: Follow the speed limit and ride at a speed that is safe for the conditions.

3. Use Your Turn Signals: Make your intentions clear to other drivers.

4.Keep Your Distance: Maintain a safe following distance to give yourself time to react.

5. Use Both Brakes: Practice using both your front and rear brakes for effective stopping.

6. Avoid Blind Spots: Position yourself where drivers can see you, and be aware of their blind spots too.

Let’s all share the road responsibly and keep our community safe.

Bus Safety is crucial! Let’s all do our part to keep our kids safe. When a school bus stops and flashes its red lights, it’s the law to stop.

STOP: When the red lights are flashing and the stop arm is out.

WAIT: Until the bus turns off its red lights and retracts the stop arm.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION: Always be on the lookout for kids.

Let’s ensure every child arrives at and returns from school safely.
