Congratulations to the Salmoran family on opening the doors of Senors Market in Annapolis!

We were excited to help Fredy, Jason, Harry, and their staff celebrate the much-anticipated occasion this past weekend, and we enjoyed taking a tour of the beautiful new grocery store as well.

We look forward to watching the Salmorans, who completed the Spanish language version of our business accelerator program less than two years ago, continue to grow their businesses and create jobs in Anne Arundel County!

The first Glen Burnie Farmers Market of the year is this week!

We’re thrilled to announce the amazing lineup of vendors and food trucks that will be helping us kick off the season at Glen Burnie Town Center on Thursday, June 4, from 4:00-7:00PM.

In addition to 20 unique vendors, Witts Barbecue , and Always Ice Cream Company, there will be great live music from James von Lenz (aka Doc Pine), free GBFM shopping bags, and, thanks to the The Bank of Glen Burnie, free ice cream for the first 60 attendees!

Attention local artists!

AAEDC is pleased to announce the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) that will identify an artist (or artist team) with experience in environmental, iconographic, and conceptual solutions for public art for a large-scale facade enhancement project at the Glen Burnie Public Parking Garage.

Three artists or teams of artists will be selected and provided a $1,500 stipend to develop a concept for the façade enhancement, and the artist with the final selected design will receive an all-inclusive budget of $149,500 for the project.

Applications are due by June 22, 2026, so please visit the RFQ to learn more about this exciting opportunity today!
