Discover Mitchell County KS first quarterly community meeting will be tomorrow at the Mitchell County Hospital cafeteria at noon. Come learn what is going on in the county!

Our first quarterly Community Updates meeting is TOMORROW (Tuesday, March 17th) at Noon!

We invite anyone to attend to hear or give updates from organizations throughout the County. Of course, Discover Mitchell County will give updates on some things coming up next quarter too.
Anyone is welcome to give a brief update or announcement at the meeting. It is meant to be more conversational and informative without a formal presentation.

It's getting closer and we're getting excited to host another great vendor fair. Vendor applications are arriving daily and it is looking like a great variety of handmade artisan items and homemade goodies will be available for your shopping pleasure. Use this opportunity to get ready for Easter, Mother's Day and all things spring.
Be sure to eat lunch at the fair board's concession stand. All proceeds go to making this year's fair a great summer event.

Celebrate Women's History Month in Nicodemus!

Nicodemus offered the opportunity for not just Black men, but Black women to establish new lives for themselves. Women paid attention to the needs of Nicodemus and established businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and millineries. They also took advantage of the Homestead Act and joined the ranks of over 100 Black land-owning homesteaders in Graham County, proving their ability to farm and support their families.

On Saturday, March 21st, join Rangers LueCreasea Horne and Valerie Blubaugh in celebrating Womenโ€™s History Month and learn more about these women homesteaders and business-owners throughout the history of Nicodemus.

This program will be at 2:00 pm central time and will be hosted in-person and virtually! As always, site events are free and do not require registration.

We will be hosting the event in-person at the Nicodemus Township Hall and Visitor Center and virtually on Microsoft Teams.
