The Bethlehem Health Bureau (BHB), officially founded in 1980, ensures the health of the Bethlehem City community by utilizing the three core functions of public health: monitor health status to identify community health problems, diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community, and evaluate effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of personal and population-based hea

lth services. For 30 years, the Bethlehem Health Bureau has strived to ensure the core functions of public health for the City of Bethlehem. We continue to assess the needs of and assure services to our community and educate the public in the areas of:
•Injury and Disease Prevention
•Communicable Disease
•Maternal/Child Health
•Environmental Health
•Public Health Preparedness

Our strategies correspond with the goals established by Healthy People 2020, a set of health objectives for the Nation (www.healthypeople.gov/About ). We value our community partnerships, both individual and group, and look forward to working with you to meet your needs. The Citizens Traffic Advisory Committee (CTAC) meets on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss traffic safety concerns and transportation issues affecting our community.

🦷Reminder: free dental care is available this weekend
The 2026 MOM-n-PA Dental Mission is happening Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at the Agri-Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds.
This is a free dental clinic for individuals who cannot afford dental care. There is no pre-registration — patients will be seen first come, first served.
Because many people are expected to attend, please come early.

Our Parenting Cafe is designed for parents-to-be and parents of infants who are looking for connection, support, and community in a welcoming space.
Join us this summer for meaningful conversations, helpful resources, and time to connect with other parents who may be navigating similar experiences. Sessions will also include support around healthy minds and healthy finances for you and your family.

🦷Free dental care is coming to our community💙
The 2026 MOM-n-PA Dental Mission will take place on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at the Agri-Plex at the Allentown Fairgrounds.
This annual two-day clinic provides free dental treatment for Pennsylvanians who cannot afford dental care. Services are provided at no cost by dedicated volunteers.
Please note:
-No pre-registration required
-First come, first served
-Arrive early, as many people are expected to attend

What a great first day at the Christmas City Farmstand yesterday! 🌽🍓🍅

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand, shopped local, and supported our farmers and community. A special thank you to all of our CSA members — we truly appreciate your support of local agriculture throughout the season!

We’re also excited to share a new addition this year… 🥚✨ farm fresh eggs are now available at the stand!

The Highway Safety Program is excited to partner once again with the Bethlehem Police Department and the Coalition for Appropriate Transportation (CAT) for this year’s Bike to Work Day celebration!
