Sophia Travis Grant Recipients,
On June 23rd, the Monroe County Council approved moving forward with the Committee's recommendation regarding the 2026 Grant Award amounts. The link below will take you to our webpage where a list of recipients and amounts are listed.

Also as a reminder, Award Recipients are invited to attend a meeting on Friday, June 26th at 11:30 am in the Courthouse Nat U Hill Meeting Room, to sign their Award Agreement and E-Verification form. If you are unable to attend the meeting on Friday, please contact [email protected] for further instructions.

Hello Sophia Travis Grant Applicants,
FRIDAY, JUNE 26TH - 11:30 am at the historic Courthouse - Third Floor in the Nat U. Hill Meeting Room, Grant recipients will be given the opportunity to sign their Award Agreement and the E-Verification. We have made arrangements for a notary to be on hand to assist with getting the necessary paperwork completed.

As a reminder, the Sophia Travis Grant Committee will be presenting their recommendation to the Monroe County Council Tuesday, June 23rd. To the Sophia Travis Grant Applicants:
We want to thank all of you who applied for the 2027 Sophia Travis Community Services Grant Program. As always, we are humbled to witness the compassionate service you offer to Monroe County.

The Committee met on Friday, May 29th to review their thoughts and prepare their award recommendations for the County Council. Due to the June 9th County Council Meeting being cancelled, the award recommendations will be presented to the County Council on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Hello, Sophia Travis Grant Applicants! Below is the 2026 Agency Presentation Order for Wednesday, May 13th at 5:00 PM in the Nat U Hill Meeting Room.

As a reminder, agencies are invited to give (at most) a three-minute presentation on your grant application. Presentations are not a requirement to be considered for an award. In order to prevent technical delays and be mindful of time, virtual/pre-recorded presentations will not be possible. Presentations will need to be in-person on May 13th.

We ask that you send us an email at [email protected] if you will NOT be able to attend. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you there!

This is a reminder the 2026 Sophia Travis Grants Application deadline is quickly coming to a close.

Applications can be submitted either in person at the Monroe County Courthouse; 100 W Kirkwood - Third Floor-Room 306, or via email at [email protected] before 4:00 pm on Monday, April 27th.
