Sterling has a beautiful new business which celebrated its grand opening last week: KP Market cut the ribbon with a big crowd, food samples, giveaways and a radio broadcast. The store is clean and bright and having gas available right off the highway is going to make this a popular stop. My office presented a citation from the State Senate and I know we will be back!

I am happy to announce that the City of Gardner has received a grant from the Community Culvert Program which provides funding to municipalities for the modernization, repair, replacement, removal, and improved resiliency of culverts.

This round of grant awards included 71 grants totaling $44.9 million. This includes 47 design grants (approximately $9.23 million) and 24 construction grants (approximately $35.7 million).

Wonderful to be at Wachusett Regional High School for a presentation on the impactful BRYT Program.

This is an incredibly important initiative, and I was proud to support it through the Senate budget.

A program of The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health, BRYT provides intensive, school-based support for students who have fallen behind academically due to serious mental health challenges—along with support for their families. Through a dedicated space in the school, BRYT staff deliver integrated clinical care, academic assistance, family engagement, and overall coordination at a critical point in a student’s journey.

Thanks to strong support from the state legislature and administration, BRYT has expanded to more than 200 schools across Massachusetts. Today, roughly two-thirds of all public high school students in the Commonwealth have access to this model if they need it.

Programs like BRYT are making a real difference—meeting students where they are and helping them get back on track to succeed.

This morning, our office visited a major foundation replacement and home-lifting project in the town of Dracut—part of a condo complex impacted by pyrrhotite. It’s an expansive effort and the largest project of its kind we’ve seen in Massachusetts.

Alongside Representative Brian Ashe, we’re continuing to push for S3091—legislation based on recommendations from a bipartisan working group established through an amendment to last year’s Senate budget. This bill would create a relief program and deliver much-needed support to affected homeowners.
