🥰 Make a difference in your Community 😍

Right now, there are people in our community who are struggling with homelessness, food insecurity, isolation, and other challenges. They are our neighbors, friends, and fellow community members, and they deserve to be seen, valued, and supported.

At The Gathering Place, we believe that a friendly conversation, and a compassionate heart can make all the difference. Every day, our volunteers help create a welcoming space where people can find not only essential resources but also dignity, connection, and hope.

We are looking for caring individuals who want to make a meaningful impact by volunteering with our guests. Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few hours a month, your time can change someone's day—and perhaps even their life. Currently, we have an opening for a volunteer shift on Wednesday mornings from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This opportunity can be either a weekly commitment or every other Wednesday, depending on your availability.

We are also looking for volunteer substitutes to help fill in when needed. Volunteering is a wonderful way to become involved, you can pick and choose the shifts you want, make a meaningful impact, and experience firsthand the sense of community that makes The Gathering Place so special. Many of our volunteers find that they quickly develop a deep connection to both the mission and the guests we serve.

No special skills are required. Just a willingness to listen, care, and serve with kindness.

⛳️ Join Us for Our Annual Golf Tournament! ⛳️

We’re excited to announce our 5th annual Gathering on the Green golf tournament fundraiser benefiting The Gathering Place and the important work we do to support individuals in our community experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Every swing, sponsorship, and donation helps provide essential resources, support services, and hope to those who need it most. This winter, there were many days when we served more than 100 individuals in a single day!

With rising costs to support our mission, this year we are looking to raise $50,000. ❤️ Will you help us reach our goal?

Hello wonderful TGP friends,

We’re reaching out with a heartfelt request for a few much-needed donations. Right now, we are especially in need of bath towels, in good condition, shampoo and body wash so our guests can comfortably shower and feel cared for.

I’ll also be resharing our wish list, as there are always everyday essentials we go through quickly. With rising costs, items like coffee, sugar, and creamer are especially helpful. To give a sense of scale, we serve upwards of 45,000 cups of coffee each year—and have welcomed more than 100 guests in a single day.

Any support you can offer truly makes a difference in helping us continue this work. Thank you for being such an important part of our community.
