As we start to approach the end of the semester, we’re thinking about our amazing Chicago International Charter School 8th grade scholars who are preparing for the transition to high school! 🌟

Our two High School Fairs were a huge success! 🎊 We are so happy that all of our 8th graders across the Distinctive Schools network had the opportunity to learn more about the high schools in Chicago. 📚 We are grateful for all of the high school representatives for sharing information about their schools with us, along with our stellar group of alumni, workshop leaders, and the CICS Longwood High School community, for helping prepare and excite our students for the next stage in their education. 🚀

We are so excited to continue supporting our 8th graders as they begin this academic transition! ❤️

Happy Occupational Therapist Day from Distinctive Schools! We are so grateful for our incredible Occupational Therapy team across our Chicago International Charter School campuses. They help our students learn new skills and grow, preparing them for their bright futures ahead! This year, the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) selected the theme “Participation Matters,” and we can proudly thank our Occupational Therapists for embodying this theme by showing up for our community everyday. We appreciate all you do, OT team! ❤️

We had a great time at our second Distinctive Schools High School Fair! 🥳
Our 8th graders from CICS Longwood Elementary and CICS Prairie had the opportunity to speak with high school representatives from around Chicago and explore all they have to offer! ✨ Our Chicago International Charter School students also engaged in stations dedicated to the amazing qualities of CICS Longwood High School. Our high schoolers were excellent advocates for their school and did a great job showcasing the opportunities and accomplishments they have been involved in at CICS Longwood High School!
We are so proud of our 8th graders and can’t wait to see their academic journeys continue into high school. 🎉
