The kids had a blast working on trail class and other equine classes as they continue preparing for the Wright County Fair. We’re excited to see all their hard work pay off in the show ring! 🍀

Interested in raising chickens for the fair? 🐥

Join us for Poultry 101, a hands-on workshop for youth interested in learning more about poultry projects! This session is open to all Wright County 4-H members and Clover Kids in grades K–12 and is a great opportunity for both new and experienced exhibitors.

During the workshop, youth will:
• Learn the basics of poultry care and management
• Get tips for preparing poultry projects for the fair
• Have the option to take broiler chicks home to raise and exhibit at the Wright County Fair

Have you ever been interested in canning? At this workshop you’ll learn safe methods to preserve jams and dehydrate foods in this ‘jam’ session and take home the fruit of your labors!

This is a hands-on workshop that offers youth the opportunity to learn safe food preservation techniques. Youth will be making two jars of jam at this session- one will be opened at the workshop for testing and the other will be eligible to take to the Wright County Fair. (If project is selected to advance to State Fair, another jar must be made)

The photography group did an amazing job taking flower photos tonight! I wouldn’t be surprised if you see some of their work from today displayed at the Wright County Fair. 🍀📸

Horse practises for the spring started off great! Youth worked on showmanship and halter with some free riding time after.

Youth are invited to attend Poultry 101, where they can learn how to care for broilers and prepare a poultry project for the Wright County Fair.
