From Greater Nashua Mental Health
September is Deaf Awareness Month! đź’™ Our President & CEO, Dr. Cynthia Whitaker, this month holds a special connection to her own journey with GNMH 20 years ago, where her first role at GNMH was as Director of our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services team! And still, the lessons she learned during that time continue to shape how she thinks about mental health care, language access, and belonging today.
Follow along all month! 🙌 Our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services team will share information about ASL, Deaf culture, and more as we recognize and celebrate the Deaf community

From White Mountains New Hampshire, a great trIbute.

ALT TEXT:
The Honor Summit Lights on Mt. Washington will be on display through tomorrow night (starting at 8pm), and the weather is looking like it will be clear enough to see the bright beams from over 100 miles away. This is a touching tribute to the memory to the events of 9/11 which took place 25 years ago. Never forget.

A special thanks to Kristie Curtis from Recovery Friendly Workplace for accepting the invitation to do an in-person training session at 54 Regional Drive, Concord, NH, home of the GCD and DOP. Focusing on “How to Save a Life with Narcan,” Kristie was able to pack in a lot of practical information – beginning with the importance of calling 911 first when assisting an individual who may have overdosed. Great job, Kristie!
