The Concord Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Kamari Porter of Concord, North Carolina. Porter is wanted in connection with the February 1, 2026, double homicide on Fairington Drive in Concord.
After months of investigation and extensive coordination with additional agencies, Porter remains at large. He has a warrant for his arrest on the following charges: two counts of first-degree murder (N.C.G.S. 14-17), one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon (N.C.G.S. 14-87), one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied moving vehicle (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(b)), and one count of discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious bodily injury (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(c)).
Porter is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. If anyone knows his whereabouts, they should not approach him. They should immediately call 911 or the Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000, or to remain anonymous call the Cabarrus Area Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME.
Porter is one of five suspects in the Fairington Drive homicide case. The other four suspects have been arrested, charged, and remain in jail without bond. The four additional suspects in custody are:
- 20-year-old Brandon Cortez Morris, Jr. of Concord, N.C.
- 19-year-old William Cornell McDaniel of Concord, N.C.
- 19-year-old Devin Wardell Griffin of Davidson, N.C.
- 19-year-old Damani Marina of Concord, N.C.
Each suspect has been charged with the following:
- Two counts of first-degree murder (N.C.G.S. 14-17),
- One count of robbery with a dangerous weapon (N.C.G.S. 14-87)
- One count of discharging a weapon into an occupied moving vehicle (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(b)), and
- One count of discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious bodily injury (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(c)).
On February 1, 2026, at 11:08 p.m. the Concord Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at 1480 Fairington Drive NW in Concord. When officers arrived, they found four gunshot wound victims. Two victims, 22-year-old Michael Harrison Overstreet of Monroe, North Carolina, and 19-year-old Kemauri Ziquan Blount, also of Monroe, North Carolina, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional victims were transported to the hospital by Cabarrus County EMS and later released.
