Join us for our third annual Great Pumpkin Rescue on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the H-E-B Pool, located at 1520 Shely Street.

Kids ages 1 to 17 can dive in to rescue a pumpkin. At 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m., up to 50 kids will dive each hour. The 10:30 a.m. session includes special needs/adaptive swim to join in the fun. Be sure to pre-register online to secure a spot!

Enjoy pumpkin decorating, music, and open swim after each rescue. Family and friends can cheer from the sidelines, and the pool will be open to everyone afterward. A food truck will be on-site with delicious food and drinks for purchase! The first 30 sno-cones are FREE!

Storytime speaks every language. La Retama Central Library celebrated Deaf Awareness Month with a special American Sign Language edition of Storytime Playgroup on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Children under the age of 5 and families enjoyed stories and music through both spoken English and American Sign Language, creating an engaging and inclusive way to enjoy storytime together.

Through programs like this, Corpus Christi Public Libraries continue creating welcoming spaces where every child can discover, learn, and share in the joy of reading.

• Recreational Division will play on Tuesday evenings
• Competitive Division will play on Thursday evenings

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer the After Hour Kid Power’s October 2026 Vacation Station, perfect for kids ages 5 to 13!
