Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice and equality.

We recognize the importance of this day in our nation’s history and the continued work needed to ensure equity for all.

In observance of the holiday, the DeKalb County CASA Program is closed today.
We will reopen on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Today we are celebrating four incredible years of Stacia’s dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve.

Stacia brings heart, strength, and steady leadership to every case she touches. She supports her volunteers with patience and encouragement, and she advocates fiercely for the children who need a consistent, trusted adult in their corner.

Her calm presence, thoughtful guidance, and deep commitment to justice make her an invaluable part of our DeKalb CASA team.

✨ Introducing Spotlight Saturday! ✨

Each week, we’ll highlight a member of our CASA community — volunteers, staff, and partners — whose dedication helps advance our mission.

We’re excited to kick off our very first Spotlight with our Executive Director, Tara Daniels.

What inspires you most about being part of the CASA mission?
“I am most inspired by two things: the selflessness of our volunteers and the resilience of the children we represent.”

What part of your role brings you the most joy?
“I'm instantly filled with joy when I work with my team. They are the sunshine to every day and at every event!”

What keeps you motivated in this work?
“This work is emotionally draining and sometimes dealing with difficult cases has caused me grief. However, I try to remember the reason this work is important — making a difference in the lives of children.”

Fun fact:
“I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews. They bring me extreme joy. I love to shop and surprisingly, I love to organize.”
