Recently, The Delphi Fire Department was able to purchase a complete replacement of our vehicle extrication equipment. This purchase was made possible through community fundraisers, donations and our fire territory budget.

This new equipment, commonly referred to as “The jaws of life” is a critical asset when seconds matter. Through this purchase we were able to up-fit Engine 505, Rescue 526 and Ladder 542 with the latest technology in vehicle extrication equipment.

Last night our members were trained on this new equipment. Thanks to Complete Auto & Tire for providing the space and vehicles to practice our skills. Additional thank-you to Howell Rescue Systems and Genesis for providing the training material.

The Delphi Fire Department would like to congratulate the Delphi 10U girls softball team on winning the championship. In honor of their accomplishments, the team will be escorted through the city on the fire trucks. This will occur around 6pm.

Delphi Fire, Camden Fire, Rockfield Fire, Carroll County EMS, and Carroll County Deputies responded to a fire in a filter system at The Anderson’s this morning. Firefighters were on scene about two hours working to access and extinguish the fire. We are very thankful for our mutual aid partners and their continued commitment to our community. We are also thankful for the dispatchers who support us behind the scenes.

A reminder that our department fundraiser is still ongoing. If you misplaced the letter you received, I have included a photo of it in this post. You can print a copy, or just handwrite the information included on the return portion and send it with your check. Checks should be made out to "Delphi Volunteers", and mailed to 201 S Union St Delphi, IN 46923. The fundraiser runs through the end of May. If you donate $35 or more, you are eligible to receive a professional family portrait on June 6th at the Fire Department. We are very appreciative of the donations we have already received.

JOB POSTING AND FUND RAISER. Two important updates!!!
Yes, we are conducting a fund raiser. If you have an address in our response area, you received the letter included below. Please consider mailing your donation, payable to Delphi Volunteers, to the City Building at 201 S Union St Delphi IN 46923.
Also, we are looking to hire a part-time administrative assistant. The job description is included below. Applications can be picked up in the entryway (information rack) of the City Building until 5/22. The administrative assistant will work 10 hours every two weeks, with flexible hours.
