The Disability resource Network is dedicated to providing young adults with the skills they need to become positive and productive members of their communities. We encourage our clients to become actively involved in directing their own lives, across the spectrum of academic, vocational, living, social and, recreational domains. We believe that regardless of disability, our young people can learn

to make their own decisions, and achieve self-determination. We strive to put an end to the societal stigma that often attaches to disability, and eliminate obstacles to inclusion, both real and perceived. We believe that by both encouraging young adults to live independently, and educating our communities, we can help motivate society as a whole to joining the effort to remove physical, social, and opportunistic barriers that currently exist.

Disability Resource Network, Inc. wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July as we celebrate our nation's independence and the freedoms we cherish.

Please note that our offices and programs will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of Independence Day. We will resume normal operations on Monday, July 6th.

As a reminder to our Alternative Education students, Summer School begins Monday, July 6th as well.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend filled with family, friends, and celebration. Stay safe and enjoy the festivities!

Today, we recognize and honor the significance of Juneteenth — a day commemorating freedom, resilience, and the continued pursuit of equality.

Happy Last Day of School to our Alternative Education students! 🎉📚☀️

As another school year comes to a close, we want to congratulate all students, teachers, and families on a great year filled with hard work, growth, and accomplishments.

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break filled with sunshine and great memories.

Reminder: Students participating in Extended School Year (ESY) --services will begin on Monday, July 6th. We look forward to seeing you then!

In observance of Memorial Day, Disability Resource Network, Inc. will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our Director, John Esteves, on Saturday. John’s leadership, dedication, and unwavering passion had a profound impact on our community, and his loss is deeply felt by our staff, clients—both past and present—and their families.

During this time of transition, DRN remains committed to continuing the work John cared so deeply about. We ask for your support as we honor his legacy and carry forward his vision for our organization.

In order to honor his life and allow our staff to attend his final services, DRN will be closed Monday March 30, 2026.

We thank everyone for their thoughts, condolences, and support during this difficult time.

DRN Bridgeport will be early dismissing.

DRN Derby is currently operating on a **2-hour delay** today while we keep an eye on local school closings and forecasted weather conditions. Everyone’s safety comes first! We’ll share an update if we issue a closing status.

DRN Bridgeport is not delayed at this time.
