Last week our new live-in members got some invaluable Trail EMS training accomplished! From safely operating UTVs to patient movements in rough terrain, our Trail EMS team ensures they are ready to respond to patients in known locations throughout the Fairbanks North Star Borough! ⚕

Yesterday our crew helped replace one of the playground slides at our neighboring Ester COMMUNITY Park! They loaded up the replacement pieces we had stored at the station, transported them to the park and later helped saw down the old slide bracket. It's mutual community projects like this that make us so proud to be a part of Ester! Thank you for your service, Engineer Wise and Live-In Firefighters Kurka & Wingrove! 🔥🚒🔥

Our firefighters put on some excellent demonstrations during EVFD's 51st Birthday! First they demonstrated using our Hurst eDraulic tools during a simulated vehicle extrication. Later they utilized a Palmer dollhouse to illustrate live fire behavior. Both of these demos provide an awesome way for our firefighters to explain what they do when helping their neighbors during emergency incidents! Great job, firefighters! 🔥

Smell that smoke, neighbors? It's coming from the Tatlanika Fire that is burning south of Fairbanks. According to this prediction from the US National Weather Service Fairbanks Alaska, it looks like we can anticipate more smoke and ash fall in the interior over the next couple of days! 🔥
