🚨🚨 Attention Residents 🚨🚨 Starting tomorrow morning August 11th thru August 13th the railroad crossings will be closed on E. Broadway and E.Frazer street in Goldsboro for 2 days. Norfolk/Southern railroad will be replacing one of the train tracks. You will be able to cross on foot but no vehicles will be able to cross except for emergency vehicles..

Today Station 28 members participated in the York Fair Parade of Heroes at the York fairgrounds. Afterwards members were treated to lunch and an opportunity to take in the sights of the fair.

This past Wednesday evening Station 28 members met for training to get some EV familiarization. A Tesla truck and Tesla car were graciously provided by residents of the community.

Our area is in the path of serious storms today. Do everything you can to protect yourselves. In the event of a tornado, go to the lowest point in your home. If you don’t have a basement go to a room with no windows. If you are outside, go to a ditch or ravine and try to protect yourself as much as possible. Do not touch downed trees as they may contain electric wires. Please….do not travel unless it is absolutely necessary. Excessive traffic makes it difficult for emergency personnel to respond quickly to emergencies.
