Great work, Deputy King! 🌟
A few weeks ago, McKinleyville Little League experienced a disappointing setback when our maintenance conex was broken into. The conex stores the equipment our volunteers use to keep our fields looking their best for our players and families. During the theft, two w**d eaters and fuel cans were taken.
Earlier this week, Deputy Taylor King located one of our missing gas cans. Not only did he return it, but he returned it completely full. We were incredibly grateful for that gesture alone.
Then, the very next day, Deputy King showed up again, this time with not one, but two NEW w**d eaters to replace the ones that had been stolen.
For a nonprofit, volunteer ran organization like ours, this kind of support means more than words can express.
Equipment like this is essential to maintaining our fields and keeping our league running for the hundreds of kids and families who call McKinleyville Little League home.
Taylor was a McKinleyville Little League player himself and humbly says he's just “being an alumni”. But to us, this is so much bigger than that. This is what community looks like. This is neighbors helping neighbors. This is someone stepping up to support the next generation of Little Leaguers.
