Beginning October 14, 2026, personal mail will no longer be accepted at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility’s 901 5th Street address. Starting October 19, personal mail will be digitally delivered to incarcerated people.

Getting fentanyl out of Humboldt County takes consistent work, and our deputies are committed to doing it.

During a recent Problem Oriented Policing (P.O.P.) probation search in Eureka, deputies seized approximately 7 ounces of fentanyl along with methamphetamine, a loaded firearm, cash and other evidence of drug sales. The investigation began after community members reported suspicious activity at the residence.

Our deputies are working to disrupt the flow of dangerous drugs into our community and hold those involved accountable.

If you see suspicious or suspected drug activity, report it. Your information can help us take action.
