On today’s Fridays in the Field, we’re highlighting For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum's upcoming Monarch Festival this Sunday🦋

We got to experience an early tagging right here at For-Mar, where the butterflies are carefully tagged, recorded, and uploaded to the monarch tracking website so we can follow their journey and see how many of our monarch friends make it all the way to Mexico!

During the Monarch Festival, you can learn more about these incredible butterflies with monarch tagging and release, a harpist from the Flint Institute of Music, a monarch caterpillar, a swamp milkweed giveaway grown by our horticulture team, monarch migration games and crafts, and an open treehouse.

Come explore and learn all about the incredible journey our monarch friends take each year!

Friday came early this week🚂🎉

We’re celebrating Fridays in the Field on Wednesday in honor of Thomas arriving at Crossroads Village! We got to catch him rolling into the Huckleberry Railroad, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him back.

This year is extra special as we celebrate 20 years of Thomas at Crossroads Village during our 50th Anniversary! Two big milestones, one unforgettable year of memories!

The Let’s Rock, Let’s Roll 2026 Tour kicks off Friday at 9 am! Catch Thomas all weekend and next weekend for lots of music, fun, and family memories.
