Monday projects:

GCRC will be paving Lake Rd. between Linden Rd. and Saginaw Rd. from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Construction begins in the Orchard Haven subdivision in Grand Blanc Twp.

On Monday, MDOT will begin a project to resurface M-57 from Linden Rd. to the Clio city limits. One lane will remain open at all times in each direction. Intermittent ramp closures will be in place on all exit and entrance ramps at the M-57/I-75 interchange.

In 2025, three road construction workers were killed in Michigan.

This year, we have had three worker deaths in just two weeks.

These are people who put their lives at risk to make our roads safer. Please remember them the next time you enter a work zone.

Put your phone away. Stay alert. Give workers space. A few extra seconds of your time could save a life.

The crash happened on the highway between BUS-69 (Fenn Road) Exit 10 and Jonesville Exit 16, just outside of Coldwater, an MDOT drive map showed.

Center Rd. between Hill Rd. and Maple Rd. will be closed today from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

Monday closures:

Wiggins Rd. between N. Long Lake Rd. and Thompson Rd. will be closed for paving.

Center Rd. between Dodge Rd. and Wilson Rd. will be closed to replace two cross culverts.

Deland Rd. between Coldwater Rd. and Stanley will be closed to pave over a cross culvert.

Johnson Rd. between Coldwater Rd. and Stanley Rd will be closed to pave over a cross culvert.

Lennon Rd. between Duffield Rd. and Van Vleet Rd. will be closed for pavement repairs.

Center Rd. between Coldwater Rd. and Carpenter Rd. will be closed for limestone resurfacing.

NOTE: Milling will be taking place on McCandlish Rd. between Saginaw Rd. and Vassar Rd. but the road will be open to traffic.

Update: the road is now open.

Lippincott Blvd. between M-15 and Montague Rd. is currently closed due to a failed cross culvert. Crews will begin replacing the culvert today. This post will be updated once the road has reopened.
