Have you spotted a streetlight that’s not working in your area? This #TownshipTuesday, we’re walking you through how to file a report to get those streetlights replaced and shining bright again. 💡
To start, go to consumersenergy.com, click on their drop-down menu in the corner and select Residential. More options will appear; scroll until you find Report an Issue and click on that.
Click on Power or Streetlight Outage, then click on Report Streetlight Outage. At the top of this page, you will see step-by-step instructions on how to make a report. Click on the blue ribbon at the bottom of the page or scroll to the bottom of the page to open the Streetlight Outage Map.
Zoom into your area on the map or use the search feature at the top to locate your area. Click on the blue dot that represents your streetlight. Once you click on a dot, more information will be provided so you can ensure you’re making a report on the correct light. Then, click Report Outage. Answer a few questions about the light and submit your Outage Report.
