Have we ever seen this much rain in one summer?! We're doing some research, but it seems like a record year for precipitation given the following rain totals for Grand Blanc Township. In most areas the ground is fully saturated and additional rain has nowhere to go. Here's hoping for more sunny days ahead!

Drinking water customers in Grand Blanc Township received a notice that there was recently a water treatment violation in our community. First and foremost, the water is safe to drink and use. Grand Blanc Township does not treat our own water but we are required to sample for water quality on a regular basis. One of our samples recently came back with a Orthophosphate level lower than regulated levels. Orthophosphates protect the water system from corrosion targeting lead service lines. Grand Blanc Township has no lead service lines. This was an isolated incident at a commercial property. Since being resampled, all treatment levels are within regulated levels and have remained there.
Please be assured that Grand Blanc Township has the utmost concern for drinking water quality and in partnership with Genesee County, will continue to deliver a safe and plentiful water supply to our customers.
