Is Quarantine getting old? Looking for things to do all day? Here are some suggestions:

1. Practice your emergency exit drills. Exit Drills In The Home (EDITH) are very important. Make sure you have a designated meeting place. There are many sources online that offer tips and ways to present these concepts to kids of all ages.

2. Check your smoke alarms. Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years. If you remove the unit there should be a manufacturing date on the back of it. If that date is getting close to 10 years or is past the 10 year mark, replace it. After 10 years, they may fail to activate when needed or activate falsely.

3. Check your carbon monoxide detectors. CO detectors have a life span of 7 years. The same recommendation apply to CO detectors as smoke alarms. CO detectors should be on every level of your home.

UPDATE***************
We are starting to receive some AMAZING artwork from people, thank-you! Starting Monday we will be posting some of the artwork and recognizing the artists. Don’t miss the chance to show GB your talent and imagination!
************************

Good morning… Here at the Police department we are looking for some young (or young at heart) artists. Print out one or all of the 3 pictures you see here then use your imagination and color them in ANY colors you want. If you like, you can name the Officers and the dog. What kind of cool stuff would the dog do and what equipment would the police car have?

When you’re done, scan or 📷 them and send them to Lieutenant Simpson at [email protected]. Who knows, you may see them shared through our social media.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

A request from our Garbage Collection Company....
Please do not put out more than normal household waste and recycling.

We realize many people have time on your hands and are cleaning their homes, but the waste hauling company can not deal with the high volumes of trash that is at the curb. Last week was over three times the normal volume. While Emterra has kept with normal services , the other companies have not. If you have done cleaning around your house, please hold that waste until this pandemic is over. We at Emterra are doing our best to service your community , while doing what is best for our workers as well. We are focused on trash and recycling first and compost will be picked as soon as possible. Due to the high volumes of trash, compost will possibly be a delayed pick up. Thank you!
