Collaboratory is a regional community foundation with an evolved mission committed to coordinating the solving of Southwest Florida’s major social problems by 2040. Not alone, but with everyone—the entire community working together across all five counties: Lee, Hendry, Glades, Charlotte and Collier. Collaboratory provides community leadership, raises and coordinates funding, and disburses funds t

o organizations that are helping solve the problems our donors and the community have identified as priorities. Given the complexities of the social challenges in our region, Collaboratory ensures we are all working together and that every generous donor achieves the biggest impact with their funds. By using and sharing data to track progress, we ensure that donor dollars are best invested to move the needle on improving social issues. Connection and collaboration are at the heart of our mission. Since 1976, we have made over $120 million in grants to individuals and organizations across the region to enhance the quality of life for current and future generations. It is upon that legacy of a commitment to community we will collectively achieve our 2040 goal.

According to a recent Wealth Management article, 88% of clients say philanthropic conversations with their advisors matter. Meanwhile, 80% believe it’s part of an advisor’s responsibility to foster these conversations.

And yet, these conversations aren’t happening as often as they should. That’s where Collaboratory comes in.

We help professional advisors and their clients turn charitable intent into meaningful, strategic impact. Whether it’s starting the conversation, identifying giving opportunities, or structuring a plan, we’re here as your partner every step of the way.

Let’s make philanthropy a more intentional part of the advisory relationship. Connect with us to get started by emailing us at [email protected].

At Collaboratory, we believe that meaningful change happens when people feel welcomed, connected, and inspired to work together for the greater good. That’s why we’re excited to share two important updates from our team that will help strengthen the experience and culture at the heart of our mission. 💙

Please join us in congratulating Stacey Mercado on her promotion to Manager of Experience & Culture. In this leadership role, Stacey will help shape the dynamic, mission-driven environment that defines Collaboratory: leading culture initiatives, public programming, and community engagement efforts that foster connection and collaboration among nonprofits, corporate partners, tenants, and guests.

Stacey will also serve as the primary liaison to Collaboratory’s external marketing partner, helping ensure our storytelling, content, and brand continue to reflect the impact, innovation, and shared purpose of our community.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Alani Williams as our new Experience & Studio Coordinator. Alani will support the day-to-day experiences that make Collaboratory a welcoming and engaging space for everyone who walks through our doors. She’ll also manage and operate our recording studio to help amplify the voices and stories of our community partners.

Together, Stacey and Alani will play an important role in strengthening the culture, creativity, and connections that make Collaboratory more than just a workspace. It’s a community working together to create lasting social impact.

Please help us celebrate Stacey and warmly welcome Alani to the Collaboratory family! 👏

Recently, we celebrated the inaugural cohort of the SWFL Executive Women’s Leadership Program.

Over the past 4 months, these women have been committed to growth, reflection, courage, connection, and leadership rooted in values and purpose. What they built together goes far beyond a program — it became a community.

We are so proud of this extraordinary group and are deeply grateful to every speaker, mentor, sponsor, and champion who helped bring this experience to life. 💜
