Baxter Memorial Library is a certified Family Place Library.
What does this mean?
- Library staff are trained in a multi-day Family Place Training institute and related online training. Training includes child development, family support, and parent education.
- Our library offers a five-week program for toddlers and their parents/caregivers twice a year.
- Special collections consist of books, toys, early literacy kits, music and multimedia materials for babies, toddlers, parents, caregivers, and service providers.
- Our Youth Service space welcomes children and their caregivers to play, learn, and grow together.
- Our library has access to partnerships with health, education, and Human Service agencies that help serve families.

Two new partnerships that BML patrons have access to are ParentTV and Lantern. Using your library card, you can sign up for these two amazing resources. Scan the QR code and enter your library card information.

We have some maintenance in the building that's required us to close our Youth Services department to public traffic for Friday May 1 and Saturday May 2.
