The Ever-Changing Landscape of Grief

Some losses are not meant to be moved on from,
only carried,
quietly, tenderly,
in the folds of memory,
in the silence between heartbeats,
in all the little moments
where love still lingers.

Grief has its own landscape,
vast, deep, and ever-changing.
There are valleys of longing,
horizons blurred by memory,
and familiar places
that no longer feel the same.

We learn to move through the shifting landscape.
Some days are softer than others.
Some days the ache returns...
Let it stay as long as it needs.

Let us miss them.
Let us remember them.
Let us ache without apology.
There is no timeline for grief,
and there is no expiration date on love.

I love this and aim to do these things more often in my less busy seasons for my healing and well being. 🙏😌 if I had a particular faith or belief system, I think I’d make a good Buddhist. 🕉️
