***Reminder: The National Alert Test is Tomorrow***
On October 4th at 1:20 (CT), FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) is conducting a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert System. Cell towers will broadcast the alert for 30 minutes and you may receive the test message anytime during those 30 minutes.
This can be a safety risk for those in abusive situations. During the test, phones may emit a loud noise and alert abusers to the location of hidden phones even if the phone is on silent. National alerts cannot be turned off on cell phones either.
If you or someone you know has a hidden emergency phone, please switch it off during the test.

LANDLORDS:
In an effort to prevent and end homelessness in Brown County and to implement the tasks outlined in the Greater Green Bay Blueprint to Prevent and End Homelessness, meetings have taken place to analyze and discuss barriers to housing for high-risk renters in the county.

Engaging landlords to be part of the solution is imperative to moving this work forward and helping our community thrive. We want to hear from landlords! Your experience, knowledge and insight into these issues is incredibly important to us. By filling out this survey, you will help us:

• better understand the experiences and stresses of being a landlord
• help service providers create tenant programs that fit landlord needs
• inform policies and trainings to better support both landlords and tenants, and
• help us in advocating for more funding to reduce the need for evictions.

This survey was created in partnership with the Brown County Housing Authority, City of Green Bay, Green Bay Police Department, Legal Action of Wisconsin, and UW-Madison Division of Extension Brown County.

The survey is voluntary and completely anonymous – your responses will not be linked to you in any way. Please think specifically about your properties in Brown County as you answer the questions. This survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will close on October 15, 2023.
