Garden Smarts Pilot 🌱

Our Garden Smarts pilot at Oneida Emergency Food Pantry & Oneida Food Distribution brought hands-on learning to life! Over 6 weeks, students explored gardening through fun activities like building rain gauges and mini compost systems—learning where food comes from and how to care for it.

The impact didn’t stop in the garden—students brought their excitement home, inspiring families to connect, grow, and learn together. 💚

This program is more than a pilot—it’s a seed of community growth, one family at a time. 🌿

✨ Meet our team:
Samantha (Pantry Office Manager & mom of 8), Tonya (Nutrition Educator), and Sarah (Extension Educator) all share a passion for connecting families with healthy food and the outdoors.
