There is still time to submit your keiki coloring contest!

Keiki ages 8 and under can enter by coloring and submitting a kole or ‘āweoweo coloring page. Keiki ages 9 to 12 can enter by submitting a personal drawing of a local fish of their choice and answering the following question:

What is a special memory you have with fishing/the ocean? 🐠

Contest entries will be judged in the following age categories with one winner from each category:

TODAY is the last day to join the Holomua Talk Story Sessions!

Join us in Kailua Kona today, May 21, to learn how you can be involved in the development of the nearshore management plan.

This is NOT the last public engagement opportunity, Holomua on Hawai‘i Island is just getting started. The process is driven by local knowledge and community input.

Join us TODAY, Wednesday May 20, in Captain Cook for a Holomua Talk Story Session.

Doors open at 4:30 pm and the meeting is from 5 pm - 7:30 pm.

We will be discussing Holomua on Hawaiʻi island and how the community can get involved in this community-driven planning process for managing our nearshore fisheries.

This process is built on local knowledge and community input.
