This year we are super thankful for our amazing Downtown District Street Team. They go above and beyond to help make our Downton a clean and safe place to live, work and visit!
our Street Team is responsible for removing graffiti, keeping around 800 block-face sidewalks continually free from rubbish, trash, food particles, debris, stains, grime and w**ds, and removing the trash for over 300 trash receptacles Downtown...just to name a few. 🙌
Give them a 👏 and let us know what you're thankful for this year & Happy Thanksgiving from our amazing team at Central Houston, Houston Downtown Management District and the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. 🦃

This year we are thankful for the return of the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade. 🙌
Grab your family and head Downtown tomorrow, November 24 at 9am for the 73rd Annual Parade led by Grand Marshal 50 Cent and enjoy elaborate floats, colorful marching bands and more!
🦃 The parade begins on the corner of Lamar and Smith Street and stretches 20 blocks.
🦃 There are ticketed seats available at the intersection of McKinney and Smith. (Pre-purchase is REQUIRED. Visit the link below to purchase tickets)

⏰ Tomorrow (11/07) at 12:00PM CST
📍The parade will travel south on Smith Street. Starting at Preston and ending at Tuam (Swipe for the parade map)
🚗 Rideshare & METRO services are highly encouraged! Attendees coming from outside of Downtown are encouraged to use designated rideshare spots (Root Square Memorial Park, Allen's Landing, Eleanor Tinsley Park & Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart)
🏆 Cars should not park on streets surrounding the parade route
🏆 METRO rides will be free for all coming into tomorrow. There will be limited services in the core of Downtown.
🏆 The route extends 1.7 miles. Viewers are encouraged to use the ENTIRE parade route for viewing.
🏆 Early arrival is HIGHLY recommended. Many of the restaurants and bars will be opening early, so take advantage!

Andy Warhol Art Exhibition
A unique Andy Warhol exhibit is on display in #DowntownHouston, at University of Houston-Downtown. The exhibit, titled "Instantaneous Beauty", is part of the University of Houston's Public Art System's effort to make their significant collections accessible to the public. As such, this collection of works is open to everyone, with no cost. We consider it a great afternoon excursion 😉 You can view this extraordinary collection through April 6, at the O'Kane Gallery on UHD's campus. We enjoyed touring at our own pace, but they also offer guided tours every Tuesday, from 3-4pm. Don't forget, UHD is a stop on the MetroRail Red Line!

This year we are super thankful for our amazing Downtown District Street Team. They go above and beyond to help make our Downton a clean and safe place to live, work and visit!
our Street Team is responsible for removing graffiti, keeping around 800 block-face sidewalks continually free from rubbish, trash, food particles, debris, stains, grime and w**ds, and removing the trash for over 300 trash receptacles Downtown...just to name a few. 🙌
Give them a 👏 and let us know what you're thankful for this year & Happy Thanksgiving from our amazing team at Central Houston, Houston Downtown Management District and the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. 🦃
