Good afternoon families! All students have received car tags if they are car riders. Each student received two tags. Back door tags are blue. Front door tags are green. Check backpacks this weekend to make sure you have your car tag for student pick up. It makes the process fast if you have your car tag displayed. Have a wonderful weekend. We will see you back here on Monday!

We have had a GREAT first day here at Freeman! Students are currently practicing how and where to go at dismissal. Here are some dismissal reminders and information for you.
1. Please be patient with us. It takes a while to get everyone in the correct place. Our goal is to get everyone home in the correct way. It will get faster as the kids learn how we dismiss.
2. PreK, Kindergarten and First Grade will dismiss from the back of the building on Bronson by the gym. Older siblings will meet the younger siblings in their area. Second, Third and Fourth grades dismiss from the Theta side at the front of the building. Students in PreK and First Grade WITH siblings in Second, Third or Fourth grades will also be dismissed in the front on Theta.
3. Car riders should have received a new car tag today. Check folders and backpacks. Back door students have BLUE tags. Front door students have GREEN tags. Tags must be displayed in your front car window.
4. If your child is a car rider, please encourage them to be very quiet while waiting to hear their name called. An adult will call the student's name and a pole color. DO NOT honk or wave to your child to come to you. They need to listen to the adults assisting them at the poles. We want everyone to get to the right place and loaded into cars safely.
5. Ask your kiddo about their day! We had loads of fun and learned lots of new things today!

AB Freeman is very excited to announce that we have been chosen to be a part of the ACE Pasadena ISD AfterSchool program. This program will offer FREE AFTERSCHOOL care to all Freeman students that wish to participate. This is your opportunity to have your Freeman Fox experience an amazing afterschool environment, at NO COST!

Join us on Thursday, August 20 at 6:00 pm and hear all about an amazing opportunity for your child!

If your child rides the bus, make sure to download the app so you can track their bus in real time and receive accurate arrival and drop‑off notifications.

We are so excited to see all of our Freeman Foxes tomorrow! Some arrival reminders:

1. We are not serving breakfast tomorrow.
2. Please be patient! It will get faster, we promise!
2. Parents are allowed to walk students into the building tomorrow. However, this is a short trip to the classroom door & a quick hug.
3. *Pre-K parents are invited to our Tears & Cheers event. This will start at 7:30-8:00 in the cafeteria.

Many of you are on the way to work & want to drop your child off, like you have always done, NO PROBLEM!! We are ready for that too!
*2nd, 3rd, & 4th graders are dropped off on the Theta side of the building (the front).
*PreK, K, & 1st graders are dropped off on the Bronson side (the back).

We will have staff stationed in both locations to open the doors & greet our Foxes!

Once students enter the building, the halls will be lined with staff to ensure students make it to the correct classroom!

School starts on Thursday! Your Freeman Teachers are busy preparing to welcome our Foxes back to campus. Please look at the information below, we will be opening doors a little earlier than usual, and we will not serve breakfast.
