We honor and pay tribute to those who never returned home, the surviving family members, and the first responders and service members who bravely risked their lives.

Hurricane Idalia has made landfall along the gulf coast and is tracking northeast as expected.
We expect station passage here at 2 p.m. with potential winds of 45-50mph wind gusts. We will therefore maintain Hurricane Condition of Readiness (COR) 1 for now.
As a reminder, we are still under a Tornado Watch until 3 p.m. so please continue to stay indoors and off the roads. I expect to have an updated timeline for the relaxation of COR conditions this afternoon pending damage assessments.
All MWR/CYP facilities, to include beaches, are closed and all fitness classes are cancelled until further notice.

All Naval Hospital Jacksonville outpatient clinics/services (including immunizations, pharmacies, lab, radiology), Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, and Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay & Mayport are closed Wednesday, Aug. 30 due to Hurricane Idalia. The estimated reopening time will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, however this could be later depending on the level of damage the base receives. If you have any type of appointment (or surgery) scheduled, staff will call to reschedule. Please check official pages for reopening schedules. Our hospital emergency room is available for on-base emergencies. As always, in an emergency, call 911 or go the nearest emergency room.
The Call Center will also be closed starting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 with an estimated reopening on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m., however this could be later depending on the level of damage. The Nurse Advice Line is open 24/7 for advice and help finding urgent care at 800-874-2273 (by phone) and www.mhsNurseAdviceLine.com (for chat and video chat). Check www.TRICARE.mil/Disaster for updates on getting care and medication refills during the storm. If you have an appointment at a local hospital out-in-town, please check with them for their status.
