Massive thanks to parents, teachers, staff, and the incredible PTSA for making it tigerrific. We’re so proud of our 8th graders and will miss them dearly. Good evening, Jamestown Middle School families. This is Dr. Vernon with a few important reminders for the upcoming week.

Monday is Memorial Day. There will be no school for students.

EOG testing begins this coming week. Students who take their test in a small group or one on one will begin testing on Tuesday. All other students will take their EOG in reading and math on Thursday and Friday of next week. 8th graders will take the Science EOG on the following Monday.

It is crucial that students arrive to school on time on testing days. Students who arrive after their testing session begins will not be allowed to test that day. Parents will be called to pick their child up if they are not able to test.

Students have already turned in library books for the year. If you have library books at home, or any other school loaned items, such as laptop chargers or calculators, please return those with your child this week.

Tigers TONIGHT is the Orchestra Concert @ 6 and Band Concert @ 7! You won't want to miss this! Come out and support our super talented Tigers!!!

Next week will be CONCERT WEEK at JMS! You won't want to miss your chance to hear our talented Tigers! Chorus will be Tuesday night at 6:30pm and Thursday Orchestra will be at 6pm and Band at 7pm! We can't wait to see you there!

Our 8th grade picnic is scheduled for June 1, 2026 from 1-2:50 pm. PTSA will provide beef hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy but we need your help to make it a fun time for our 8th graders.
