For many of our elderly clients, their furry friend is more than a pet they’re family, comfort, and sometimes their sole companion.

We’re helping by purchasing dog food for our seniors in need. 🐶❤️ If you’d like to help with this great cause, donations of dog/cat food are greatly appreciated!

🚨 FINAL DAY TO DROP OFF LIGHT ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS!

Tomorrow, Friday, August 28th, is the LAST DAY to turn in your completed Light Assistance application.

🕗 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

📍Applications MUST be returned to the same location where they were picked up.

⚠️ Applications will NOT be accepted after 4:00 PM.

Please make sure your application is complete and that all required documentation is included to help with the eligibility process.

Every application you review, every copy you make, every document you verify, every voucher you process, every payment you process, every phone call you answer, every question you patiently explain, and every family you assist represents hours of work that many people never get to see.

And through every negative comment, every disrespectful remark, and every moment your hard work is questioned, yet you continue to show up. You continue serving our community with patience, dedication, and professionalism.

We see the work behind the scenes. We see the long days, the paperwork, the pressure, and the responsibility that comes with helping families receive Light Bill Assistance.

Queremos aclarar que las solicitudes NO se reservan ni se apartan para familiares o amigos de nuestro personal. La cantidad de solicitudes DISPONIBLES depende de los fondos estatales otorgados a nuestra agencia y de los recursos disponibles para el programa.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration the limited number of applications may have caused. We UNDERSTAND how important Light Assistance is to our community.

To clarify, applications are NOT SET ASIDE or RESERVED for family members or friends of our staff. The number of applications AVAILABLE is based on the state grant funding provided to our agency and the funds available for the program.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to assist AS MANY eligible community members AS POSSIBLE. Future application information will be shared here and on the Webb County website under Community Action Agency >Live Feed >Calendar.

DISRESPECTFUL or NEGATIVE comments directed toward ANY our staff members will NOT BE TOLERATED. Our Social Media Community Guidelines outline the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT for our page. Our employees work diligently to SERVE our community and DESERVE the same RESPECT we extend to those we serve. 😊

📢Ligh assistance application drop off will be Thursday, August 27th- Friday, August 28th from 8am-4pm.

🚨Please note where you pick up the application is where it must be dropped off.
