We would like to share updated information regarding the Toepperwein Road and Lookout Road Intersection Improvements and Traffic Signal Installation.

The improvement project includes the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Toepperwein Road and Lookout Road and is intended to improve safety, traffic flow, and overall mobility at this intersection and railroad crossing.

This project is partially located within several entities, the City of San Antonio, City of Live Oak, and Union Pacific. Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) is leading the construction project. According to the latest update by TXDOT, this project should begin in late Spring of 2027.

The City of Live Oak continues to communicate with TXDOT and monitor the project’s progress. While the City does not control the project schedule, we remain committed to keeping the community informed as additional information becomes available. For questions, please contact [email protected].
