Today is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day.

A reminder that healing isn’t always visible, and strength doesn’t always look loud. We honor those living with PTSD, those supporting them, and those still finding their way forward.

Check in on your people. And if you need support, you deserve that too. 💙

The Veterans Home of California - West Los Angeles honors the freedom that brave members of the U.S. Army fought for, allowing every American to begin claiming their share of this precious land of liberty. Happy Juneteenth and Go Army!

Juneteenth is one of the oldest commemorations of the end of slavery in the United States. It marks June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3, enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation at the end of the Civil War.

Within the National Park Service, Juneteenth helps connect this history to places and stories preserved across the National Park System that interpret emancipation, Reconstruction, and the broader struggle for civil rights.
