On behalf of the men and women of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, I want the Phillips family, his loved ones, and every trooper at the Kentucky State Police to know this: you do not grieve alone. When one agency loses one of its own, all of us feel it. Tonight, our hearts, our prayers, and our full support are with you.

I ask our community to keep Trooper Phillips' family and his KSP brothers and sisters in your thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead. His courage, his dedication, and the badge he wore will not be forgotten.

Rest easy, Trooper. We Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office - KY have the watch from here.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to the family, loved ones and fellow troopers of Trooper Hayden Phillips.

We mourn alongside Kentucky State Police and the entire law enforcement community following this tragic loss.

Please keep Trooper Phillips’ family and KSP in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, we face one of the most difficult moments an agency can endure as we announce the loss of one of our own. Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while
patrolling I-65 in Warren County. He was assigned to Post 3 Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103. His dedication to duty and commitment to the commonwealth will not
be forgotten.
Our hearts break for Trooper Phillips’ family, loved ones, and fellow troopers as we grieve this tremendous loss. We will carry his memory with us, honor the life he lived and the badge he wore, and stand together as an agency to support this family in the days ahead.
-Colonel Phillip Burnett, Jr.
