Tonight at The Hope Village, we are deeply grateful to Green Castle Baptist Church for showing up with not just food, but fellowship, warmth, and genuine care.

Moments like this remind us that everyone deserves community a place to be seen, to be nourished, and to belong. Tonight, our village was filled with community, laughter, and a shared sense of hope.

This is a winter emergency. Freezing temperatures and heavy snow have forced more of our unhoused neighbors to seek shelter at The Hope Village, and we are ensuring to keep people safe from life-threatening conditions. We are working nonstop to provide hot meals, warm drinks, and critical cold-weather supplies — but our resources are being stretched fast. With roads unsafe and temperatures dropping, the need is immediate and urgent.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Green Castle Baptist Church for the beautiful Christmas dinner and celebration you hosted for our residents. The soul food, the joy, and the generosity shown through Christmas gifts created a moment of dignity, warmth, and true community for everyone involved.

Your consistent support shows up in so many ways, and this celebration was another powerful reminder of what it looks like to say “yes” with both words and action. We are especially thankful for Pastor Darien Waite and Chelsea Waite for their leadership, faithfulness, and willingness to stand with us and our residents.

We also want to thank the Hope Village staff who worked behind the scenes and alongside our partners to make the day run smoothly. Your care, coordination, and commitment ensure that moments like this are not just events, but experiences of love and stability.

The Hope Village is a stabilizing homebase, and a place where our most vulnerable neighbors can breathe, be seen, and belong. As temperatures drop and needs rise, we are working every single day to ensure that no one at The Hope Village is left without warmth, food, or dignity.

But we cannot do it alone.

Our Hope Pods Need Your Help!

Our residents and community members deserve safe, welcoming spaces—and right now, our Hope Pods need urgent maintenance. Our top priorities include replacing beds, repairing doors, fixing heater units, and painting floors to create a warm, safe environment for our neighbors. Our focus is on getting these repairs done quickly for the people who rely on us.
