Volunteers are needed to help plant 40 trees in the City of Milan.
Make a difference in a few hours that can last decades!
Volunteer on May 1, 2026 (8:45 AM - Noon) to help plant 40 trees in the City of Milan.
No planting experience necessary. Families are welcome! To register, see link below.
ReLeaf Michigan, a non-profit tree organization, is partnering with City of Milan, Milan Beautification Commission, Milan Parks and Recreation, River Raisin Watershed Council, and the U.S. Forest Service to plant 40 trees at Wilson Park, Milan Middle School, and Milan Nature Park.
This is a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative tree planting project funded by the US Forest Service.
In addition to the GLRI mission, the City of Milan is planting trees to increase crown cover, support the watershed environment, provide shade, and replace trees lost to insects and disease.
ReLeaf Michigan’s tree experts will be there to show volunteers how to plant a tree and oversee the event.
