Maxon Industries will double its City of Milwaukee plant size with a $2.8 million expansion. The construction equipment maker will add 25 jobs. The Department of City Development worked closely with Maxon on the land sale.
The company plans to invest $2.8 million for acquiring the property, construction, and new equipment, including two new 20-ton cranes. The company will nearly double the size of its plant with two additions totaling nearly 20,000 square feet.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson said, “I think that this matters because when companies stay and expand here in the city, they’re making a statement about the workforce, they’re making a statement about our neighborhoods and they’re making a strong statement about the future of Milwaukee."
