➡️ “La Familia de Arte recently celebrated the installation of public art memorializing lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as memorials to First Nations and immigrant groups who have made Milwaukee home.”

Some South Side residents don’t consider themselves to be artists. But La Familia de Arte brings the artist out of them anyway.

Under the PAIR program, a local artist will be hired by a City agency or department to develop, strategize, promote, and implement artist-driven solutions to complex civic challenges. The intended outcome is for the artist and City representatives to assess community needs, as well as develop and improve programs and initiatives through creative problem-solving.

Can you help us spread the word please? Calling all Wisconsin or Illinois Artists ages 16 and up! I have a new artists' reference site starting up in September. Who might want to hear about it? How might I contact them? It's a Milwaukee-based art model's coop at the web address: http://napravi.work might I ask that your org promote it?
Need ASAP: Two families to host students from Spain. The Spanish scholarship students are some of the nicest kids you'll ever meet! This scholarship is so competitive, it's actually harder to win one than to get into Yale or Harvard. The students have great personalities, excellent grades, very good English speaking skills and they're still waiting to hear that a lovely American family will take them in as one of their own for the upcoming school year. It's a great way for your family to learn more about Spain too! PM me for more details or take a look at these great students at:

What is seriously you problem??? Another new flag search? Really? One that has been embraced throughout your city. One that is genius in design. Nope. Let's do it again. This board should be disbanded and disappear for this ONE idiotic ridiculous decision. I guess I didn't know the the sunrise what race specific.
ZIP MKE invites you to a unique silent art auction (with raffle bundles, too!).

We have selected some of the most evocative photos from its collection of 2,000 photographs, then asked dozens of local artists to interpret those images in the medium, style, and size of their choice. Just as each photo serves to represent a particular ZIP Code of the city--and sometimes re-present a face, a place, or an experience in a positive light--the artists will be re-presenting the images one more time. Artwork will be auctioned at our October 19th fundraiser.

30% of the sale of each artwork will go to the artist and the photographer of the inspiration photo will receive 10%. The remaining 60% will benefit ZIP MKE's mission and vision as we enter our third year of serving the community through re-imaging, one ZIP Code, one neighborhood, one photograph at a time.

We know that your gallery, too, may be open for Gallery Night, but we hope you will consider sending a representative or curator to our auction.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you,
