Yesterday, our Tigers stepped outside their usual circles and made connections with someone new! 👋🧡

And what better way to step into kindness than with some fun and crazy socks?! 🧦✨

Sometimes, all it takes is a smile, a “hello,” or a simple conversation to help someone feel like they belong.

Start with Hello!💚
Did you know that students at Trent Park can speak TEN 🔟 languages?!? These languages include Arabic, Burmese, Zotung Chin, English, Jarai, Karen, Karenni, Shan, Spanish, and Swahili. Many of our TPE families and students are bilingual or multilingual.
Today, these Tigers shared how to say hello or hi in Burmese, Spanish, Karen and Swahili.

🐯🐾 ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH — WEEK 4: STAY ALL DAY!

Last week, we focused on the importance of arriving on time. This week, we’re focusing on the other end of the school day: staying until the end!

We know there are times when an early checkout is unavoidable. Appointments happen, emergencies come up, and sometimes families simply have to leave early. But when we can avoid an early dismissal, we need to.

📚 Learning happens all day long.

The last part of the school day isn't just "waiting for dismissal." Our Tigers are still learning! They may be finishing lessons, working in small groups, completing assessments, reviewing important skills, or receiving interventions and other instructional support.

And just like tardies, those missed minutes add up.

Leaving just 10 minutes early each day means 50 minutes of missed instruction in one week. Over time, that becomes hours—and eventually days—of learning that can't be replaced.

🧡 Families, we need your help!

Whenever possible:
🐾 Schedule appointments outside of school hours.
🐾 Avoid checking students out early for convenience.
🐾 If an early dismissal is necessary, keep missed time to a minimum.
🐾 Help your Tiger be at school from start to finish!

Our goal isn't just for students to be at school each day. We want them HERE, ON TIME, READY TO LEARN, and STAYING ALL DAY!

Every day. All day. Every minute matters.

Ms. Tara and her team have some delicious meals headed your way this week! 🍎🍕🥗
🎉 Breakfast AND lunch are available to ALL students at NO CHARGE! Families are encouraged to take advantage of these great meals. Students are also welcome to bring lunch from home.

September 21–25, our Tigers will celebrate Start With Hello Week as we focus on kindness, inclusion, and making sure every Tiger feels like they belong!

Each day will have a fun theme and simple challenge encouraging students to reach out, include others, and make new connections. Check out the graphic for our daily dress-up themes!
