The Friends of the Newburgh Free Library invite you to stock up on books for your classroom libraries and students now that the school year is starting. Come to our Back Door Books Bookshop where we stock some 18,000 gently used books, including an extensive selection of childrens, young adult and educator books for teachers and home schooling.

THE DEAL... identify yourself as a teacher, come and shop. Fill one or more grocery sized bags with books for $5 each bag (please note we accept cash only).

September is Library Card Sign Up Month! No matter what your tastes are, a library card hits all the right notes! During Library Card Sign Up month libraries make a special effort to sign community members up for library cards. This year we would like to feature YOU, our patrons, in a video about what makes a library card special.
