..WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO NOON AKST SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations between 7 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35
mph.
* WHERE...Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills, Interior Seward
Peninsula, Lower Koyukuk Valley, Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys,
Middle Yukon Valley, North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range,
Southern Seward Peninsula Coast, and Upper Kuskokwim Valley.
* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to noon AKST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility.
