UPDATE, Sept. 9, 2026 -- Our systems are up and running and we're back in business. After a building issue yesterday, the Oklahoma Library for the Blind is open and back to regular business hours. Thank you.

Due to an unforeseen issue with the building's cooling and electrical systems, the building on 300 NE 18th Street in Oklahoma City is closed today, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. Our staff are working remotely and still available to help by phone and email. Please call 405-521-3514 or email us directly for library services and other related inquiries. Today we mourn the passing of country music icon Dolly Parton. Did you know Dolly Parton helped get books in the hands of young children through her Imagination Library? We're at the 2026 Oklahoma Special Education Conference this week! If you're at the Oklahoma City Convention Center on July 28 or 29, 2026, please swing by our table in the exhibit hall and say hi. This gathering is the perfect time for special education teachers, educators, directors, and more to learn how our library's Accessible Instruction Materials (AIM) Center helps visually impaired students throughout the state. We serve students statewide from birth through 12th grade.
