Saturday's ceremonial groundbreaking for the La Mott Community Center Renovation project marked Cheltenham's first major renovation in decades.

We are grateful for the support of Rep. Madeleine Dean, Senator Art Haywood, Rep. Napoleon Nelson, and our fantastic community members who fought to make this project happen. We'd also like to thank KCBA Architects and Revision Architecture for their detailed work on the project and joining us for this groundbreaking.

We are excited to announce that Cheltenham has been awarded grant funding through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development's Local Share Account for the following projects:
- Curtis Arboretum Accessibility Improvements - $400,000
- Glenside Pool - $350,000
- Rowland Community Center - $400,000

Valley Rd will be closed between North 12th St and Old York Rd beginning tomorrow, September 16, for emergency storm sewer replacement and sinkhole repairs.

This work is expected to take through the month of October. Motorists should follow posted detour signs and allow additional travel time.
