Glenside Pool is currently closed due to an issue with chlorine delivery. Pool staff are actively working to address the issue and we will update you as soon as the pool is able to open.

Join us at Thomas Williams Park on Sunday at 4PM for the dedication of the new traffic garden. There will be bike helmet giveaways and other bike safety resources for kids, as well as food trucks (La Camelia Philly and Shots of Love Waterice & Smoothies).

📱🚗 **𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫**
Beginning Friday, June 5, Pennsylvania’s warning period for Paul Miller’s Law c̳o̳m̳e̳s̳ ̳t̳o̳ ̳a̳n̳ ̳e̳n̳d̳, meaning drivers can now be stopped and cited for violating the state’s handheld device ban.

Under the law, it is illegal to hold or use a handheld phone while operating a vehicle — including while stopped at a red light, sitting in traffic, or waiting at a stop sign.

Activities that can now result in a traffic stop and citation include:
• Texting
• Scrolling social media
• Reading messages
• Recording video
• Browsing apps
• Holding a phone for navigation

Drivers may still use hands-free devices, voice commands, mounted GPS systems, and other hands-free functions.

One of the biggest changes many drivers may not realize is that law enforcement can now stop a vehicle solely because the driver is holding or using a handheld phone. No other traffic violation is required.

Violations carry fines, along with additional court costs and fees.

If you're still in the habit of checking your phone at red lights, Friday is a good time to break that habit. Help keep our roads safe for everyone.
