It's Spooky Season! Our staff picks focus on ghost stories. There's something for all ages and even for those who think they don't like ghosts. Jack has chosen Kraven by China Mievelle:

This book has so much stuff going on in it that I had to think for a second whether one of them is ghosts. A really fun and wild magical-realism novel set in a secret London underground of feuding wizards and cults.

It's Spooky Season! Our October staff picks focus on ghost stories. There's something for all ages and even those who think they don't like ghosts. Becka's choice is The Skull by Jon Klassen:

A wonderfully spooky little book about a girl who finds a talking skull and a haunted house in the middle of the frozen woods. The illustrations are great and the mood is very good for late fall!

Happy October! It's Spooky Season! Our staff picks focus on ghost stories. There's something for all ages and even those who think they don't like ghosts. Today's pick is the graphic novel Feeding Ghosts by Tessa Hulls, chosen by Jenn:

Tessa Hulls spent years writing about her family's history and the intergenerational trauma that haunts them. Tessa spent most of her life running from her ghosts, but a trip to China with her mother helps her confront her grandmother's exile and psychological trauma and heal her relationship with her mother.

September is coming to a close and there is only one more day to make a donation and support youth services and programming at CCM.

All donations made by midnight on 9/30 will be eligible for a partial match thanks to the Jack Buncher foundation.
