Isabella and I today attending a flag raising ceremony at the Roberts Stone House in Canonsburg. Not only did the event celebrate Flag Day, but it was also the first time that the stars and stripes have been raised on the newly erected flag pole at this historic site.

While the game didn't end as we all hoped, congratulations on a great season Chartiers-Houston Varsity Softball!

Thank you to everyone who came out to a flag retirement ceremony I hosted in conjunction with Cecil Boy Scout Troop 1369, Cecil Cub Scouts and Cecil American Legion Post 793 this evening.

It was wonderful to see so many people showing proper respect for the flag just days before Flag Day.

On Monday, Courtney, a victim of domestic violence from my legislative district, and her friend, Stacey, came to Harrisburg to talk to legislators about my bipartisan bill package which offers domestic violence victims further protections, enhances offender accountability, and better prevents repeat and escalating violence.

The bills include GPS monitoring of offenders, financial protections during divorce, coerced debt relief, home security grants for victims, and a categorical exception to the bifurcation consent requirement in cases where a protection from abuse (PFA) order is in place or where a spouse has been charged with or convicted of a violent offense against the other party.

Next week, there are plans to move legislation on one of these concepts.

Thank you to Rep. Lindsay Powell for working with me on these important protections and to Courtney and Stacey for providing a voice for victims.
