ThePlace2B YWCA Quad Cities ThePlace2B, the drop-in center for all youth in the Quad Cities.

YWCA Quad Cities ThePlace2B is a drop-in center for all youth at no cost to them. We provide a safe and supportive place to learn and hang out, where youth can feel at home. The program runs Monday - Friday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the YWCA Quad Cities. We offer educational support, activities like basketball and swimming, a meal each night, wrap-around support as needed, and transportation to and from the program.

Recently, we welcomed back some of our former mentors for a special homecoming at ThePlace2B! From a friendly game of basketball to sharing a meal together, it was a great night!🏀

We were so grateful to have these mentors back in the space and loved seeing them interact with the youth they had an impact on. Once you’re part of ThePlace2B family, you’re always part of the family!

A huge THANK YOU to Enzo’s Chicken for donating the delicious meal and Country Style Ice Cream for donating ice cream for the occasion! Your support helped make this homecoming extra special.

What a night! ✨

We’re taking a look back at our Music Bingo fundraiser from this summer, and we’re still smiling! It was a great turnout and an even better time!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the event a success! Whether you purchased a ticket, grabbed some food, bought raffle tickets, donated raffle items or prizes, or simply showed up to support us — every contribution mattered.

Because of you, we were able to raise funds that go directly toward supporting our programs and our friends at the QC Wolves FC.

We’re so grateful for a community that continues to show up, have fun, and make a difference with us. Thank you for making Music Bingo such a memorable night! 🎵

Thank you for your support!💙💙💙

Thank you for your support!💙💙💙

We’re excited to share that YWCA Quad Cities is a Doris & Victor Day Foundation Grant Recipient! 🎉

This generous grant will help us purchase a new van to support our ThePlace2B program, giving students reliable transportation to and from programming, field trips, and other activities.

And the impact won’t stop there! The van will also be available to support other YWCA programs, including Alan’s House and our childcare programs.

We know transportation can be a significant barrier for many families. This support helps us remove that barrier and meet young people and families where they are. ❤️

Thank you to the Doris & Victor Day Foundation for believing in our mission and investing in our community. Your generosity is helping us create more opportunities, build connections, and ensure transportation doesn’t stand in the way. 🚐💙

This week, our students at ThePlace2B had the opportunity to give back right here at the YWCA! 💙

They volunteered at our Empowerment Center, where they received a tour of the facility and learned more about the many services and resources available to our community.

Our students helped organize and hang clothes in the clothing closet, lending a hand to support the important work happening every day at the Empowerment Center.

At ThePlace2B, we make time for our students to volunteer, get involved, and experience firsthand the importance of giving back to their community.

We’re proud of these young people for showing up, pitching in, and making a difference!

At ThePlace2B, we're committed to helping young people gain the skills, resources, and support they need to thrive long after they leave our program. Every achievement is a reminder of what's possible when our youth have the right opportunities and people cheering them on.🌟

At ThePlace2B, we're committed to helping our students build the skills and confidence they need for a successful future.

This summer, we helped 10 students open their very first bank accounts, giving them an important step toward financial independence. We also helped several students earn their driver's licenses, opening doors to employment, education, and greater independence.

These may seem like simple milestones, but for many of our youth, they're life-changing opportunities that create a foundation for long-term success. Every achievement is another step toward a brighter future, and we're honored to be part of that journey. 🧡

☀️ Summer memories are being made at Girls Club!

Our Girls Club recently spent time at Vander Veer Park for a picnic filled with laughter, friendship, and fun. 🌸🧺 The girls enjoyed delicious food, explored the beautiful botanical center, played games, and made lasting memories together.

Experiences like these help build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create a space where girls can simply enjoy being teens.
