Rockport Maine Fire Department Rockport Fire Department consists of 1 Full time Fire Chief and 29 Volunteer/Call Firefighters.

Additionally, 4 full time FF/EMTs and 4 full time Paramedics staff our Rescue 25 and West Rockport Station, 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule. Drill- 1st Thursday of every month 6:00pm October-April

Last night FF-EMT Root and Paramedics T Oliveira and J Oliveira hosted Westport Fire Explorers-Post 774 from Westport, MA for dinner, a tour of the station, apparatus and a Q&A session here at the West Rockport Station.

The Explorers are currently on a week long Maine excursion celebrating their 10th anniversary as Post 774, staying at Camp Roosevelt and visiting places like Maine Maritime Academy, Acadia and Bangor Air National Guard so far.

The Westport Fire Explorer Post 774 is a scouting-based organization for young adults ages 14-18 who have an interest in careers in the fire service.

The program provides an introduction to various fire and ems based training along with life skills and leadership opportunities.

Explorers are mentored into the field and gain a background in firefighting/EMS skills, leadership, and community service.
